PC Recycler provides and maintains an 8 computer suite with broadband internet access for the Helping Hand charity in Blackpool.
We would just like to confirm that the
internet cafe service that PC Recycler have set up and continue to
provide
for our
organisation is vital to the service we are able to offer our
vulnerable
clients.
As you
are aware the majority of our clients are unemployed, homeless or
living in
hostel accomodation and as a result of life controlling problems or
addtictions are in a uncontrollable cycle which they cannot break out
from. The free access which they gain to the computer suite is
allowing
them to break that cycle in several ways:-
a) Allowing clients learn skills both in computer
literacy and basic English
b) To be able to access local service via the web
such as the availablity of housing through the home start scheme,
jobcentre
plus etc.
c) To produce cv's and to email them to prospective
employers
d) To achieve a sense of self worth at being able
to spend their time in a worth while manner.
So many thanks and keep up the good work
