Three of us this week as Dave M turned up with his laptop to see if Mike could help him install his WiFi card in Puppy 4. Despite the downloading of the relevant drivers and installing with the use of Ndiswrapper we were unsuccessful and it was suggested that Puppy 4.3 might have support for the WiFi card by default as it uses a later Linux kernal.
After that we looked at burning ISO images with Brasero Disc burner, and as it was not installed on the Xubuntu 9.04 install, that Dave had on the Laptop, we installed it with the synaptic package manager, and as Dave needed Openoffice installing we did the same with that.
Finished the session with a bit of reminiscing about PC hardware and Software of the dim and distant 80's.
