Get a free website

We can provide websites for club members, free of charge. Or we can show you how to do it yourself. Most "big names" will provide free webspace, in which to set up a free site. Google provide (free) Blogger for blogging, Google app engine for development and a WYSIWYG website templating system.

Sites can range from a single page with contact details, to a full content management system.

The next two links are database driven content management systems (cms) hosted free of charge on 100webspace.com. You can edit and update this type of site online (live) without knowledge of FTP. Sites like these can be completely free of charge, and managed by anyone who knows how to edit text.

Note
There are "trade offs" to be made when deciding between free and paid for services. There can be expenses involved in setting up and running a website, but we can brief club members on what to expect if they prefer to choose a service other than ours.

You can expect to get quotes from hundreds of pounds, to thousands, depending on who you approach!

A Broken link, or dead link is a link that points to an address that is unreachable. If your blog or website has many broken links, then it will give a bad impression to your visitors. Furthermore, broken links will also affect your Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) ranking. Your Google Page Rank will be directly affected by the quality of your internal and external links.
